My son’s 6th floor dorm room in San Diego was 80 degrees with no air conditioning. This fan was perfect for two reasons. First, it does not require installation in the window because it has feet and he can place it on the window sill, so he can leave the screen on and not worry about bugs. Secondly the fan exchanges the room air with an intake fan and exhaust fan. His room is running 8 degrees cooler and he is sleeping much better. He already had a free standing fan and wanted a second fan. I am so glad we purchased this Optimus window fan.
