Question by Iron: How do I make my secondary monitor the primary monitor?
Recently, I’ve installed Vista Home. I have a second monitor because my laptop’s back light just ran out. Whenever I activate my secondary screen it opens to just a bug huge wall paper with none of the bars bellow. I have to drag my programs from the laptop to the right side just for it to pop out in my secondary monitor. How do I make my monitor the primary, instead of the laptop. It is Vista Home.

What graphics card do you have? If it is a NVIDIA one you can install the NVIDIA control panel and use that to configure multiple monitors. Otherwise go to control panel, display, change the appearance of your display, If not sure which monitor number is which click the identify button, make sure display is on multiple display, then in the multiple display option set it to either duplicate or select show the desktop only on the monitor you want as primary (I’m guessing that is monitor 2 but do the detect and identify if not sure)

Question by Nabil M: My LCD monitor is flashing different colors after i turn off the PC while keeping it plugged to electricity?
In addition,, when i turn on the PC I have to unplug and then replug the electricity wire form the rear of the Monitor for it to work,, otherwise it stays shutdown!
WHAT IS CAUSING THAT?? WHAT SHOULD I DO TO FIX IT??

*I bought this monitor 6 or 7 years ago.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like it’s time for a new monitor.

There is a chance that it is something simple like the VGA cable that you use to connect it to the PC being bad, but for being that old, It is not unlikely that the monitor is just dying.

No, you can’t “monitor” email that is deleted, unless you do it before you empty the trash bin in each email system. No matter who provides the email service, this is going to be the case. Email is not collected anyplace except in a deleted box or trash bin. Once that’s emptied, the email is gone. It is not recoverable by any means.

This was a catch 22 for me. Obviously to see my baby, and check they are OK was a good one. But I decided wireless technology is still in its infant days. Who knows in the future, whether exposing a baby to radiation is good for them. That’s why I went with a wired monitor. So any wired monitor is the one I would choose, but that’s the problem, most are wireless. Babies are especially vulnerable because their bodies and nervous systems are still developing and because they will have more time to accumulate exposure to the radiation and for any delayed effects to develop. The jury is out, but I don’t personally want to be a guineepig.

But in the end went with just a simple wired sound monitor. You can put them closer, due to a much smaller magnetic field and hear the baby breathing . It maybe that magnetic fields dont harm the baby, but there have been some concerns in some of the trustworthy papers here in UK such as the independant.

I want to connect my Macbook Pro to an external monitor and use dual monitors but use the external monitor as one monitor and the Macbook display as the other… how would I do that, or does it do that automatically when you connect it to an external monitor?
